Careers Awards
This year we were awarded the 'Educate Rochdale Careers and Enterprise Award' for our work surrounding careers:
- Exploring different sectors of employment, what employment opportunities are available and the education journey you may need to get there.
- The children have had the opportunity to take on different roles and responsibilities within school such as; junior pcso's, best buds and student council. They had to consider the criteria required for the different roles.
- Discovering how school staff got into their current role and what qualifications and experience was required.
- The school has also had a careers fair from lots of different employment sectors. This gave the opportunity for children to ask specific questions for those working within the sector.
We have also been assessed and achieved 'The Inspiring IAG Primary Careers Award' level two for high quality careers related learning provision.
Careers Related Learning is thoroughly embedded across school from reception to year six.
