Best Buds

We believe that the pupils have an important role to play in the development of our school. Our Year 6 children have the opportunity to become a "Best Bud", where they serve in a mentoring programme for our younger children. Our best buds have been trained and working well since September. They help all the children outside at dinnertimes and playtimes. The best buds wear special fleeces are are a fantastic help in the playground. Keep up the good work best buds!

 

 

School Council

The school also has a "School Council" which aims to give the children a forum for sharing ideas about the running of the school.

Welcome to our 2009/2010 school council. We have elected George as chairperson, James as vice chair, Isla-Mae as secretary and Roxanna as treasurer.

Each class has 2 elected members from Class 3 to Class 8. All were chosen using a ballot box on election day after many speeches and lots of canvassing!
We hold meetings fornightly and discuss important issues and try to raise money for charity and to buy equipment such as bird feeders and wet playtime games.
W recently held a successful bring and buy book sale where we raised over £60.
